Hello friends and neighbours.
The CCA would like to inform you that in light of the current health situation the board has decided to fully refund payments received for rentals should your events need to be cancelled. Those who have paid via PayPal will unfortunately loose the small Pay Pal fee. We will also do our best to accommodate postponements or date changes. We have also decided to postpone our Spring Work Bees at the Canyon Park until such time as the need for social distancing has passed. We will continue to work with the best interests of the community and will update you as changes occur.
Take care of each other and we hope to be with you all again soon!
WE ARE CURRENTLY IN A CRISIS.
DO YOU CARE? WE NEED TO KNOW IF YOU CARE WHETHER CANYON HALL AND CANYON PARK REMAINS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY.
The volunteer board of directors now stands at three members. The community needs to band together if these facilities are to remain open to the public. The board needs to know that they are supported by all users of the Park and Hall. The position of a director on the board consists of one monthly meeting. As the volunteer base has diminished to such a degree, we have consistently had to pay hired contractors to do the jobs that volunteers once did. This creates a need for more fundraising which creates a need for more volunteers. The Hall and the Park are at risk of being shut down.
SO, DO YOU CARE? CAN YOU HELP? Contact us through our web site, www.canyonbc.ca, find us on Facebook, email us at info@canyonbc.ca or call 1-800-861-9850
ABUSE AND DISRESPECT COST US ALL.
The Canyon Hall parking lot is maintained by the CCA, a non-profit association currently run by FOUR volunteers. Burning Donuts, overnight parking and large vehicles using the lot contribute to expensive maintenance for us and disrespects our tireless volunteer efforts. Please pass the word and help your community.
Thank you!
